Why do we need to tell people about our health services?

We heard from the community that people are confused about which health services they can access. Knowing all your options can help you make better health decisions. This can prevent health problems from getting worse and reduce stress for individuals and families. When people know where to go for help and what to ask for, they are more likely to get the right healthcare at the right time.

A health survey in 2025 asked residents if they needed more information to manage their health. We've answered some of the most common questions below.

You can call 1800MEDICARE (1800 633 422) any time, day or night, to speak with a registered nurse for free. They can help you decide what care you need and guide you to the right service or help you manage at home.

The Kids Helpline is available for young people aged 5 to 25 years. You can talk to a counsellor who can work alongside your GP, and you can even see the same counsellor for ongoing support. Open 24/7 - 365 days. Call 1800 55 1800 anytime for any reason.

You can access allied health services such as a dietitian, speech pathologist, and a social worker through the Wee Waa Health Service.

Wee Waa also has its own podiatrist at Wee Waa Podiatry Clinic.

Plus, in Narrabri you can find;
