Here's what your community told us about health services in Murwillumbah

A Murwillumbah Health Services Survey was launched in July 2025. The survey asked residents about their experiences when accessing healthcare services. A total of 465 survey responses were received from community members, representing 4.3% of the 10,871 residents living in Murwillumbah and the surrounding areas.

Community members were particularly concerned about the availability of GP services and the lack of free options (bulk billing). Since the survey closed, some positive changes have been made. Murwillumbah was reclassified by the Commonwealth Government as a regional area, which has improved the financial assistance that general practices can access from the government. Following this change, a new GP practice opened in Murwillumbah.
