Five Liverpool Plains projects awarded community grants

30 September 2026

Five local health and wellbeing projects have been selected for funding through the Liverpool Plains Collaborative Care Small Grants initiative, following two weeks of voting. More than 700 votes were cast by the community to select their favourite ideas.

The successful projects will support health and wellbeing across the Liverpool Plains, creating opportunities for connection, participation and active living for people of all ages.

Collaborative Care Community Project Manager Samantha Shipman said a great range of community ideas was received.

“From kids’ bootcamp to aqua aerobics and more! As well as supporting health and wellbeing, these activities create opportunities for people to come together and connect."

The initiative offered small grants of up to $5,000 for community ideas that support health, wellbeing, and social connection in Liverpool Plains. A total of $21,000 will be distributed across the five successful projects.

The successful applicants are Five Star Health and Fitness, Kinetic Grind, Werris Creek Public School, St Joseph’s School in Quirindi, and WalHealth.

The recipients have until 30 April 2027 to complete their projects.

Many high-quality grant applications were submitted, and unfortunately, not every idea could be funded. The Liverpool Plains Collaborative Care project group thanks everyone who applied for the Small Grants funding.
