Four local health and wellbeing projects have been selected for funding through the Eden Collaborative Care Small Grants initiative, following community voting.

These community-inspired projects will benefit children, youth and older people, with initiatives focused on water safety, strengthening wellbeing and social connection.

The projects showcased a range of creative ideas, including youth-led social activities to build confidence and connection, water confidence activities for children and families, opportunities for older people to get active outdoors, and a trained support dog to support student wellbeing.

The initiative offered small grants of up to $5,000 for community ideas that support health, wellbeing, and social connection in Eden.

The successful applicants were Eden Marine High School, Navigate Expeditions, Bloom Eden and the Eden Swimming Club. Each applicant demonstrated partnership links with community organisations and voluntary contributions that added value to their project. The winners have until May 2027 to complete their projects.

The Eden Collaborative Care project group thanks everyone who applied for the Small Grants funding, and the community that voted for their favourite ideas.
