The DAP+ MediBus, a mobile healthcare unit set up to revolutionise diabetes care in rural and remote NSW.

You need to get a referral from your GP or healthcare provider to access the Medibus.

The Medibus is a fully equipped mobile health clinic which brings specialist multidisciplinary teams to towns with limited access to healthcare, including endocrinologists, a diabetes educator, Aboriginal health worker, dietitian and podiatrist.

Diabetes is an important healthcare issue for the Hunter and New England region, with an estimated 1 in 8 people living with the condition, and many more undiagnosed. If left unmanaged, diabetes can result in serious complications.
