Health Check Convoy Pulls into Eden

16 September 2026

The Health Check Convoy rolled into George Brown Memorial Sportsground in Eden on Friday 7 August, bringing free health screenings and support services to residents.

The initiative was led by COORDINARE South Eastern NSW PHN in partnership with local health and community service providers.

The event offered a relaxed, community-focused space where people could access skin, heart, blood pressure and dental checks, as well as have a safe chat about their mental wellbeing. Free haircuts and beauty treatments were also available, helping attendees look and feel their best.

The Walkabout Barber and Beautiful Bus was popular, helping draw people into the event and engage with other services on the day.

Many attendees also made use of the Skin Check Bus as part of the broader Health Check Convoy program.. Southern NSW Local Health District is now looking at how the Skin Check Bus could reach more communities across the district.

Bringing services together in one place made it easier for people to access a range of health checks, ask questions and find out more about the support available to them locally.

The Eden event formed part of a series of Health Check Convoy events held across south eastern NSW, taking health services out into communities and providing practical opportunities for people to check in on their health.
